Bookwyrms is back! And it is celebrating its 10th anniversary today! You may have seen from the previous page, but there has been a long break this year, which I’ve needed due to personal circumstances and mental health. I’ve taken the chance to work on things I usually don’t find the time to: Bookwyrms art that is not comic pages, among other things! So as a result there are now Bookwyrms stickers, prints and postcards available in my online shop! (Please note I can only ship to the UK at the moment due to regulations).
What a decade. I am a quite different person than the one who started this project, and still, Bookwyrms found a way to evolve with me. I understood more and more about these characters the more I lived myself. I definitely learned from them too. There’s been times when this project has been my greatest inspiration and fulfillment, and times when it’s been difficult to do the work to keep the project going. It’s been rewarding, and it’s come with great cost too. Above all, it has given me connection and meaningful purpose, and for that I’m most grateful.
I am so happy to have gotten this far, and I can’t wait to have the full story, printed, in my hands. In the meantime, I look forward to drawing the rest of Volume 3, the final one! As I review the script I get more and more excited about what’s coming! All this to say, I want to celebrate these 10 years with you, the comic’s readers, with a giveaway!
